Our Members
We have a wide variety of community members on the comittee. Anyone is welcome to join us for our meetings and or events.
Olds Municipal Library: The Olds Municipal Library provides ESL mentorship, ESL Family Literacy Kits, ESL Coffee Houses and books in many languages. They also offer many basic library services such as borrowing books and DVD's. There is FREE internet access at the library and no membership is required.
Central Alberta Refuge Effort: (Jan Underwood) Public Awareness Coordinator and Community Educator for Central Alberta Refugee Effort. The program informs, educates, raises cultural awareness and sensitivity, encouraging communities in Red Deer and Central Alberta to be more welcoming and Inclusive. Promotes cross cultural awareness, training and consultation.Provides information on immigration and related issues.Offers workshops, and presentations to workplaces, agencies, community groups, schools and colleges. Guest speaker at Conferences across Canada.
